Room update

Week_one_new_studio Good morning!

Several of you have ask "how’s the new stamp room coming along" …..SLOW 🙂  But, I’m not going to complain….good things happen to those who wait (is that true?)

Here’s some details for ya.  Those big stars on the wall….they’ll be going…. just as soon as my hubby either buys cabinets and builds shelves….still not sure which I want….in fact half of my drawers are still empty…I’m confused about what I want where….do you do that?

Next on the list….that pretend island……you should see the one in my old office…I called it my redneck island.  Anyway….Dave is going to build a wood ??? something to go around those containers so that on each side I can access the drawers but to the people on the other side of the room they will see wood.  I’m thinking that may be a ways off, considering what I have now is working… it’s just not that pretty. The other side is still not done….waiting on shelves from Ikea to store all my binders and stamp sets….as soon as I get that I’ll take more pictures.

Next is a picture of Brook on her first day of high school….hard to believe my youngest child…the baby….. is in high school.  Brook_high_school Check out her Vera Bradley bag…hee hee

And last but not least…..our Hawaii trip is officially booked….and more good news…..we’re going a little early.  The kids are on Spring Break the week before and we decided to go early :))))

Thanks for stopping by….see ya tomorrow!

  5. Gerry Curry

Great room. It’s just like moving into a new house and trying to arrange kitchen cabinets and closets. As you use it, you’ll probably rearrange things a million times. I look forward to seeing it “live” at Club on Monday.

  6. Peggy Maier

Wonderful room – I know you’re happy every time you walk into it! Such a pretty daughter, too. Mine was that age MANY years ago, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. : )

  7. Great room! I love the stars!! I noticed you store you paper in hanging files …LIKE ME~!! I Love storing it that way…i even put a manila folder in each hanging file for scraps. SO everything is together. I love venturing to your site DAILY if not hourly:) Thanks for all the great ideas.

  13. Melissa Perry

Love your stampin space. I can’t wait to see at next club night. I agree with Gerry, you will be moving things around for awhile, I still am in my space. Your daughter is so beautiful. Good luck keeping the boys away. We already have that problem and Aundrea is only in the first grade. Aggg!! Can’t I just lock her in her room till she is 20? LOL!!!

  14. Brittany

Brook is very pretty! She looks very tall!!

I noticed your windows on the side of your front door have tiny blinds on them! I have never saw that before and I LOVE IT!! I must get some!!!

  15. Angie,
an idea for your “island” is you can put velcro around the underside of the table, and put material around your island. It may only be temporary for you but at least people wouldnt see the back side of your island.

Your room is coming along nicely.

  16. Your craft room is looking fabulous! What is the distance between the chair and the stack of drawers behind it (the ones you want hubby to cover up with wood)? Your DD is a lovely teen! Which island are you all going to? I love going, hard for me though with health issues. My brother lives in Kauai, just went last April. I go every year no matter what! Aloha! Deb

  17. Erika Erkkila

Your space is…. WOW! Love the island. Is it from IKEA? I do have my own room in our basement
but done on a very low budget. Your daughter is
gorgeous. These high school years will pass by so quickly. I am not looking forward to that with my daughter.

Angie – You ROCK. I’m so looking forward to seeing what you do with your shelf system for your wall. Please post it! I have pictures over my husbands computer desk that are destined for change – I see some wall unit or shelves. Please HELP! Good job on HAWAII, your family deserves a fabulous time.
